For the first brief post, we would like to explain how the facilitation of the assessments work.
Clients are not responsible for facilitation, we handle that. In other words, students will receive background information as well as specific instructions about how to prepare for the assessment and what to do when the assessment begins. Because the assessment is at a specific scheduled time, students log in to a Zoom link and will be part of a group that is participating in an assessment. All sessions are facilitated by Collegiate Assessment Partner members. Faculty or administrators from the client schools are always welcome to attend these sessions, but are in no way expected to run or contribute significantly to the session. We take care of this for you and this is how we attempt to make the process as “turnkey” as possible. In this way, schools can conserve their faculty and administrator resources to do what they do best, educate their students!
What does the facilitator do during a session?
The facilitator provides instructions, answers questions, assists students with any technical issues, and then stays accessible via Zoom to answer questions during the assessment. Think of the facilitator as both the “starter” and a “help desk”.
